I do not  see how transactions will be tracked in the system such that a Client Service Unit can check on the status of applications being processed so as to inform an applicant. For instance will the system be able to distinguish between different services and their status at any stage?

There is a case management service that is being developed to provide such information. When fully developed, it will act as a workflow management engine to give track of the processing actions and stages of an application. It will also be able to provide information about the status of an application as users log this information. In this way, the client services unit will be able to view the processing history/details of every application in the system and provide advice to applicants or agents.
